I've got a bunch of these tapes available. They are NOS (original wrapping) and I assume they are functional. Send me a PM or email and we'll arrange to get one out to you. (user-name @ gmail (.) com)

If you want more information send a PM or email!

These weigh 57.5 g with wrapping (57.2 g without) and measure 110 x 70 x 17 mm. Shipping is from Kitchener, ON, Canada.

These tapes were included with every Commodore (or tape drive) sold at Canadian Tire. I used to work there when I was in school and I rescued these tapes from being discarded during a cleanup. They were packaged in boxes of 12 and the inside tape case has this molded into it:

PM Sent.

That's pretty interesting, we should get you out to a TPUG meeting sometime. There are a few members in Kitchener, for possible carpooling.

I turns out that Light-Packet requires the package to pass the mail-slot test (20mm) and right now it just doesn't quite fit. I'll repackage and try again tonight.

I have one of these. I got it maybe 10 years ago. It's a model for what I do, a tape with unexpanded BASIC games.

Nice to see an original package of those tapes! I have a couple of them. I think every VIC-20 collector in Canada must have a few - as the original poster said - they were given away with almost every VIC-20 purchase from Canadian Tire.

Now our international friends can enjoy this Canadian VIC-20 tradition too!

By the way, we've discussed these tapes before on Denial, but just to freshen everyone's memory - it seems they were produced by Commodore Canada exclusively for Canadian Tire (they have the official Commodore logo on them and the cassette tapes themselves look just like the other ones released by Commodore Canada - their education sets, for instance).

Yes, but I was intrigued by the " NOS (original wrapping)" part.
