Color RAM

Post by Bobbi »

Does anyone have any idea why the address of the color RAM changes when memory expansion is installed? Doesn't seem to be necessary at first glance.

The colour RAM is 1K nibbles in size, and is connected to the low 10 bits the VIC chip uses to address memory and, especially, the text screen. See also the thread 'Multiple screen memory areas?' and another post in the thread 'Help: CC65 Compiled Code Locking Up??'.

Thanks Mike - I didn't see your answer until now. I'll go read that other thread!
