You won't find any new features. That interlock is merely a bugfix - before that, pressing f1 (save picture) with the cursor on screen would result in a permanent cursor remaining on screen, which you wouldn't want.

Obviously either no one of the 65 beta "testers" (judging from the original d/l count, and whose names are mainly unknown to me) found that by themselves, or those who found it did not bother to report the bug. :(

Oh, I thought it actually was an option tied to a function key...never noticed the bug actually. I downloaded it more than once. :)
