Hi,
Is there a standard music format on VIC20 ? (like SID on C64).
I asked this question because I want to easily include music in my forthcoming productions.
And as I'm not composer, a library of songs would be great.
I have read some posts about VICTracker.
Thanks

Re: Standard VIC music format ?
Short answer, no - most developers roll their own.
There are some examples about on the net of IRQ driven players for the Vic but I couldn't find anything that met my needs: background music with foreground effects [stealing channels as needed], so I took my inspiration from them and hacked my own.
It would make a very good candidate for an API library similar to Robert Hurst's sprite SSS should anyone have the inclination.
A futher step would be a Web page similar to my screen/character designer that allowed composition/import midi etc/preview/code generation. I could potentialy tackle these in the distant future, but don't hold your breath
