Spidey vs Doc Ock
Moderator: Moderators
Well, it turned out to be more involved than I planned but here it goes...going over the program after adding a bit more compression I ended up freeing another 60-70 bytes.
So the following have been added/changed.
Different strengths of attack
Different amounts of defense and recovery
Double the music length at the end screen
Tightened up code and removed delay in the Swinging routine - bypassing the damage routine (its a feature - no damage while swinging) - plays a bit faster now.
So swinging on your web and immediately following that with a punch/kick or web will have a slightly higher chance of landing and higher damage.
Also, the more web fluid used in the defensive webs the more Hit Points recovered.
No more - Barely for close defeats or victories (you can now suffer a draw )
So now it pays more to swing around and to block attacks...giving the player a bit more breathing room. Mind you, I once set Doc Ock's HP to only 5 (for testing purposes) and in a freak run - he brought my 32 HP down to 6 before I beat him
So anything can happen
Will probably post this up a bit later maybe tonight..or I'll hold off until a couple of days later...

Learning all the time...
As promised, I have the newest version of the game. Graphically its the same and the gameplay is tweaked and more balanced. Also, comes with a nifty little PDF instruction manual.
New Unexpanded Version Download (with instructions)

Oh snap! Sorry about that man...I'll get a new link posted up right away.
EDIT - OK I just added it to my Google account share. You can download both versions from there. Aside from the opening screen in the 8k version, I figure most people would rather play the new 'balanced' version of the game sans opening screen. The link in the previous post prior to yours is working now as well as the Announcements page.

The link is about as clear as mud...LOL.
It's the tiny plain Download link immediately below the picture.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8rRU_ ... hiRWc/edit
Or you can click on this one...it has the old files one being just for the unexpanded and the other is with the splash screen...but they are difficult.
