I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place for comments, but I think this is really amazing!!! I will try it on a real vic next time I have a chance...

It does look amazing, and I'd love to see it working on my real VIC. Does it really work on 16K?

Yes, the demo really works on a PAL 16K VIC-20. Just load the "boot"-file and run it. If you have RAM at BLK5 ($a000-$bfff) and a Jiffy-compatible device you can also use "boot-sj" which loads the fastloader into memory. This was the way it was shown at the party.

I tried starting the picture files with PRG Starter and it said:

Identified as:
Machine language for expanded Vic20
Scores: Vic: 536 Ted: 0 Vic-II: 0 Sid: 0

Hey what a score for the vic chip addresses!

After looking at the basic program, I learned you can view them with
SYS24171

Incredible! I tried this on the real VIC (via FE3), and I must say I'm really impressed, especially by Tutankhamun, the rings, and the yellow flowers. If you try this on the real machine, I strongly suggest to enhance the colour a little bit - it renders better images  .

Thanks, the first and last pic are of the party location (from outside the E-Werk and the toilet sign), to give this demo some sort of bookends for the party.

Wow, never dreamed it was possible, looks like too many colours to be a Vic-20.

Great Work

The package at scene.org includes an *.avi of the slide show (download).

I don't have FE3 or a Disk Drive, this should work if I convert the .PRG file into WAV and load it by tape, right?

Loading individual picture files would work:

LOAD"",1,1

OK, thanks Boray. What does the SYS do?

It starts the display routine of the image. By pressing SPACE you either continue the program, or - if invoked from direct mode - you return to the READY prompt.
