I'm testing the oscillator with a ham radio interface that requires the input tone to be within a certain frequency range. 369.994 Hz (F# 4 on piano) works well.
Hi Guys (and possibly Gals) -
I realize that this is a little late, but, have you considered the tone oscillators (in the VIC) directly? Poking 233 into the
middle osc. (address decimal 36875) will give a tone of about 370 Hz. It shows up at the "audio out" pin #3 of the audio/
video port (that DIN connector on the back) with a fairly decent sine wave of +/- 300 mV into a 1k ohm load - the usual line
level stuff. Make a small break-out box and you can continue using the sound into the TV set as normal. Address decimal
36878 controls the volume of the tone using the numbers 0 (off) to 15 (max). By the way, just what IS the frequency
range you can play with?
Hope this finds you in good health.
