Improved grid generation speed with machine code and now has wrap-around cursor movement.
Also increased the amount of given cells per difficulty setting as the randomness of the grid can make even the easy option very hard.
I'll leave the original here for comparison.

Download: fcbpaint-0.9.zip

- fixed bug where display of render errors would "stick" in the border area.
- fixed bug where size of rendered data and render errors wasn't cleared after initializing or loading new picture.
- fixed nasty compiler bug where the first change on a line would sometimes be mysteriously optimized away. (reported by Mike)
- rearranged memory layout to allow for future improvements.
- added example pictures by Tokra.

fcbpaint V0.8 beta, 2016-02-22 (not publicly released)

- show compiler end address in editor.
- show number of lines with compiler errors in editor.
- show marking for lines with render errors.
- corrected exporting bug where a few char blocks in the middle of the picture would get corrupted. (reported by tokra)

Name: Lala Prologue
Author: Majikeyric (code), Na_Th_an (graphics), Mibri (C64 sound)
Released: April 3rd, 2019
Requirements: 32k memory expansion, PAL machine, joystick
Description: A conversion of the ZX Spectrum classic by The Mojon Twins.

Image

The story

Lala wanted to be a witch by all means, so she entered the Great Witch Academy, led by Mistress Morgana la Marrana, who admited her cause she didn't have any pupils because of the worldwide crisis.
Morgana herself teached the very first basics of magic and sorcery to Lala, who was not a very good student.
One day, Morgana ran out of chipped man bile, so she went to the supermarket to buy some and Lala had to stay on her own in the academy with all those machines and magic filters to her disposal.
She began trying some spells, and as nothing happened, she just opened the windows so to freshen the air.
But before she could be aware, all the pots with magical filters and chemicals flew off thru' the window scattering all around the surroundings.

The game

Take control of Lala accross the decrepit surroundings of Morgana's academy, looking for all her filters and chemicals. To progress in your adventure you have to fetch and use some keys which will open a series of gates, giving you access to new areas.
Avoid the flying nasties and spike traps around the cemetary and the churches around, which can be really fatal. To regain some life, you can eat heart-shaped lollipops which will lay scattered here and there and which will appear once you've collected some filters and formulae, in screens already visited.

Controls

Use joystick : left-right and fire to jump.

Bunny Basic

Bunny Basic is a relatively fast, limited instruction set, integer-only basic interpreter for Commodore 64 and Commodore VIC 20. It's partially compatible with CBM BASIC V2, but there's quite a few restrictions. However, you can run most Bunny Basic code in CBM BASIC V2 interpreter, it is just a dozen times slower.
bunny20-big.png
Commands: PRINT, POKE, SYS, GOTO, CLR, GOSUB, RETURN, IF/THEN, WAIT, END

Functions: AND, OR, PEEK, CHR$, <, =, >, <>, <=, >=

Arithmetics: 16-bit unsigned integer addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, negation

Variables: 26 one-letter variables A-Z, 16-bit unsigned integer

csdb page (C-64): https://csdb.dk/release/index.php?id=177039

-- Update 17 July 2019 (in Dropbox only)

Added a version for unexpanded VIC 20:

LOAD"BUNNYUNEXP20",8,1
POKE56,24:NEW
SYS6144 to run
SYS6144,10 to run starting basic line 10

(There's 2k of space for user program and also space for 24 user-defined characters at 7488-7659.)

Note for all versions:
Running Bunny program or subroutine without a line number after SYS only works correctly if used in direct mode and there's no other instructions after the SYS. When calling from a "slow" basic program, always SYS with a line number: SYS49152,10 or SYS40960,10 etc.

This was posted on mewe earlier this year. Its the wozmon ported to Vic-20:
wozmon6000.zip
(2.56 KiB) Downloaded 373 times
Its based on the disassembly by Jeff Tranter. If anyone here doesn't know what this is (unlikely!), its the internal machine language monitor of the Apple-I made by Steve Wozniak. Its amazingly small and efficient.

A manual can be found here: https://www.sbprojects.net/projects/apple1/wozmon.php but note that memory locations are different (see wozmon.asm above).

Its still below 256 bytes.. so fits.. anywere! The .prg file above goes into $6000, but you can change and compile the source with CBM prg Studio. Please note that I changed the output so that each line shows 8 hex values without spaces (so they fit on a single Vic-20 line). It also uses the ROM print routine of CBM/Microsoft Basic and the character decode table (from the same ROM).

Name: Vic Nibbler
Author: Andy H @ Hewco.uk
Released: 6th August 2019
Requirements: PAL VIC-20 with 3K-expansion (may work on NTSC also)

Description:
Image

Vic Nibbler is a remake of a wonderful arcade game created in 1982 by Rock-Ola. The Vic 20 remake shares many features of the arcade game.

Guide Nibbler the snake around the maze. Like many a snake game, Nibbler will grow when you eat food and will lose a life if colliding with your tail. Unlike many a snake game, Nibbler will turn automatically when it reaches a corner. If navigating the maze with a growing snake was not enough, there is also a time limit of 99 seconds. Nibbler can pause at T-junctions but don't wait too long because you'll be penalised on time if you do. There are 10 unique mazes and unlimited waves. Every few waves will see Nibbler get a bit faster.

Nibbler requires a 3k RAM expansion and can be controlled with Joystick or Keys (Q, A, O, P).

The game was made with Turbo Rascal, the source code will be available for anyone interested in learning how it was made in the next release.
