A bug maybe... The letter 'V' shows up 3 or 4 bits higher on a text line than the other characters.

Hi Rob,
Yes that's a weird one. It seems that it's only the letter V and only if it's in a comment. I tried to contact the author (I didn't write the edit control) a long time ago but he seems to have disappeared. I do have the source code for it though so I'll take a look when I get a chance. I'm busy getting prg studio ready for a new release in about a week.

Arthur.

Well it's long overdue but the latest version (v3.9.0) of CBM prg Studio is finally ready to download. There's a raft of bug fixes as well as these new features:
  • TARGET directive.
  • Logical operators with 'ifdef'.
  • Complex expressions for constants.
  • Command window.
  • Import SEQ files.
The complete list of bug fixes and new features is on my website. Enjoy!

I've been testing it out. The build speed is very nice. The ongoto/sub numbering gets correctly changed when renumbering. Very happy! :D

My tests also confirm that all the reformat /renumber problems have been fixed. :)
The 'import settings' issue remains however.
I reinstalled the beta files you sent me just to check it wasn't a windows issue and they both picked up the previous settings. V3.9.0 fails to do this and manual import of a saved config does nothing.

Did you install 3.9.0 in the same directory as 3.8.0? The .NET framework should use the old app settings as long as you haven't deleted/uninstalled the previous ones first, and you haven't changed the installation directory. Admittedly the upgrade procedure isn't great but at least you don't have to do it that often these days.

OK.

Just to make sure, I uninstalled everything.
Installed 3.8.0 and populated all the relevant fields.
Installed 3.9.0 to same folder (overwriting 3.8.0) and all settings are inherited. :D

I kept the previous versions separate so that I could always fall back on them if something didn't work properly. I suppose the best thing to do now is make a copy of the folder and install new versions into that instead.

Perhaps you could remove the info in the installer telling you to 'uninstall previous versions first' as this prevents the settings being inherited.

Many thanks for all the work you have put into bug-fixing this excellent program.

Good idea, I'll remove it.

Your download link here is not working but I was able to get I off of your webpage. I'll test it out and give you some feedback.
