Where's the Linux version? Do you want someone (ahem) to port this? :wink:

What programming language would you be using then? It's written in Visual Basic 2008 Express.

GNU C using GTK2, but of course. If I wanted it done in an hour, I would consider porting your Visual BASIC directly into Gambas2.

But was you thinking something cross-developed to multi-platforms, i.e., using a .NET / Mono solution? Let me know, seriously, I (and others) would love to have a launcher like that from Linux.

Yes, thank you for this simply elegant solution ... I am now enjoying the port to Linux on my Fedora desktop. Double-click associated filetypes (.prg, .p00, .crt, .d64, etc. etc.) and it automagically runs the correct VICE emulator and configuration.

I have not run into any use-case where it fails, although my active CBM library is far from immense. If I do, I'll forward my thinking to you.

My favorite invocation is still:

$ run mega-cart.rom

Or double-click it -- that's cool!

edit: you can read about it at my blog post.

Just downloaded v1.1

Here's some wierd behaviour: When I start certain PET .prg files (blitz.prg for example) your loader program starts it up in BOTH PET and VIC-20 emulators simultaneously! :shock: I have two emulators running on the screen at the same time (of course the program doesn't work in the VIC).

Other PET games ("polezei.prg") for instance will start up in VIC-20 mode and not in the proper PET mode.
