Image display on non CRT

Post by ViperSan »

I'm sure this question has been asked many times before..
..We now live in a word of LCD dispay etc ...and sadly I dont own a CRT monitor..
So how do you guys display your VICs if you also dont own CRTs ?
Is it best to try and locate an LCD with RF input ?
or are there mods that can be done to the VIC to enable a reasonable image to be displayed by composite out ?
Yes I can use a monitor with RCA input but the picture isn't great having lots of digital noise and vertical and swirling lines overlayed on the image..

The video out provides composite out by default. You can do a mod to s-video. Don't bother with rf.

I have a small LCD TV and use the composite input. The picture probably isn't as good as with s-video but it's fine for genera use (and far better that with a CRT connected via the modulator).

S video looks to be the best option ...
I will probably go down that route.
many thanks

Viewsonic Nextvision N6.

It does have a S-Video input.
Be normal.

LCD TVs provide a far more stable picture, especially for PAL there 50 Hz CRTs were flickering quite a bit.
