So a while back I'd posted a question about very low audio output from my VIC. Never really figured out what the issue was but have a little more info that someone may know the answer to.
I've confirmed with another VIC-20 I just purchased the issue does not happen when using the RF box but only when I use a composite AV cable I made following the pin out diagrams online. I decided I must have had some bad cable so I made another one but the issue persists with two different VIC-20's. The video is great but you have to crank the volume up to max to just barely hear the audio.
So at this point I know it's not the VIC or the TV. Is there something I'm missing with this kind of cable? Is there more than just a DIN plug and two RCA ends?

Re: Low audio from composite cable
I've never run into that before... audio is normally loud and clear out the AV cable. Perhaps you have a bad cable, i.e. on wrong pins or not grounded, etc...?
