Saw it, analyzed and replied..

The content of the TAP file is corrupted. This could be caused by the card being way too slow. I sent you a picture of the content so you can verify.
Does the tape load correctly on VIC using the same datassette?

Yes the original tape loads correctly with same datassette.
I wanted to have confirmation that the SD card was faulty (I have to buy a new one  )
Thanks!

As I was saying in my previous post those Ultra II cards unfortunately do have an internal architecture that is too old and slow to support grabbing operations on low end microcontrollers. Fortunately much faster alternatives have become very cheap in the recent years.

In case of any issue please contact us.

If you feel particularly satisifed (or dissatisfied) with the card and/or with the support feel free to leave a comment about your experience in our guestbook here, if you wish:

As usual, now that I have some time to stay behind the purchase and shipping, and then play a bit with the Princess, all kits are marked as sold out! :(

Does anyone know if a new batch will be produced soon? With some hardware upgrade / restyle perhaps?

Yes, there will be a new batch soon with some additional commodities we're finishing these days. Some patience and Princess will be back ;-)

I remember that thing.

There was a big argument with the designer because he claimed it includes a 1541 emulator and it does not. It's a version of SD2IEC with the datasette functionality.

I am aware it is only a sd2iec. The fact it simply plugs into the back of the vic20 without external power or cables is what I need. I have an sdrive1654 which is smart, but needs extra power and iec cable. I have an uk1541 that only handles d64 files (and doe not support sjload). The TAP support is a novelty which I like.

Plus, both serial and tape port are pass-through, so you can add real drive(s) or a printer, and the C2N :)

The UK1541 is advertised on Amibay as a genuine 1541 emulator.

I thought it also supported G64 files and using sjload only required installing a 1541 JiffyDOS firmware.

I have these functionalities with my 1541 Ultimate.

On the VIC-20, I guess TAP support is far more important than 1541 emulation. There are few (if any) copy protected disks and/or special disk loaders on the VIC.

Correct. Uk1541 can't even load prg files. I do have the uk1541. I can't be bothered converting tap to d64.
