Reccommend me stuff for my SD2IEC please

Post by 16KVIC20 »

Hi, I've just got an SD2IEC device. I am hoping that I can now enjoy some of the demos/games etc that you need a 1541 or SD device for.
Please could you recommend some for me to download, and where I can get them from?

I have heard that without an SD2IEC or similar one is missing out on the full VIC 20 experience, so now I would liketo try them!

In my signature is a link to my games and a Links page that will give you directions to the entire library of commercial and user software.

At some point someone should make an organized VIC collection (alphabetized in folders) in one zip file that could be dumped to SD card. I may try when I'm less busy.

I am most interested in stuff that pushes the VIC 20 to its very limits.

Also the same for that other Commodore Computer that took over from the VIC 20.

Then you will probably not be interested in my games. I am interested in the very basic, stock VIC capabilities. Type-in games and no memory expansions.

I would recommend looking into the DEMO links. Robotic Liberation is a good place to start.

Definitely intersted in your games Jeff.
Robotic Liberation is great, I have it on my Mega Cart. I still can't believe that is possible on a VIC 20 really.

Aha! It's down to you, as this is the icing on *your* cake :D . Saving games would be a great achievement.

Awww, come on. Do we need to make this a Kickstarter-project?

It looks like it's 90% done - or what is still missing? Would be great to have the Infocom full experience on the VIC finally. The work that has been done already is too good to be left unfinished.

AMAZING! How did I miss this? I would have donated my programs as well. I'm in the process of reading old disks and putting together a catalog of my old games.

Anyway, I am really excited to try this!! Thanks so much!

We should continue to build on this great effort and keep an updated file every year!

Thank you guys. This is nothing but a collage of all the VIC software I was interested in. Keeping it updated is not difficult, and the whole zipped archive is less than 1 Mb :).
