Colour Test

Hi, y'all!

Here's a small test program, Colour Test, which can be use to judge the quality of the video output w.r.t. resolution and colour transitions (download):

Image

It runs on an unexpanded VIC-20. After a short wait, the program first displays fine vertical lines in all the 8 possible foreground colours in a table over all 16 possible background colours. A key press replaces the lines with a checkerboard pattern (see above), and a second key press shows thicker lines.

The S-Video mod really makes a difference here!

Greetings,

Michael

You should be happy he didn't spell it "farben". (If I remember correctly from the Deutch in school.)

I think the color/colour joke started even before Mike joined us. Still funny to me.
