TMR posted about ViColumn a few days ago. It has been available through Cronosoft for a while, but now also downloadable.

From the past MiniGame 2005 compo, you have my Jewels 20 and Martin's VIC-LC.

I don't know if there were any more game releases recently. Someone should port Star Wars - Knights of the Old Republic:

(Hmm.. sleeping elephant and silent penguin.. is someone trying to tell me something?)

I know some of the original multi-cart makers from our annual videogame parties. One who made Vectrex, 5200 and 2600 carts told me that a VIC cart was entirely possible and perhaps easier that other multicarts; however, the market was so low that no one with the skill would take the time to figure it out. I am still dreaming of a tototek flash cart for the vic!

Regarding multicarts, I've mentioned this before. Jim Brain has designed something called the uIEC, which is a compact flash card interface that emulates a 1541 drive.

Jim assures me it works with the VIC20, in fact, he can tweak it to run at the 1540 speeds.

So there's your multicart. Use your PC to load the flash card up with VIC games, you can even sort them into subdirectories (for example 0K/3K/8K expansion).

Put Boray's XMENU program in the root directory (or use the utility cart
), and voila. Multicart.

I'll bug Jim about how he's getting along with getting them manufactured.

I've seen something by some guy named TMR called Lunar Blitz for the VIC-20. It's a nice implimentation of an old concept, though I know he won't release it until he's completely happy with it, or something.

Regards,

Shaun.
