The whole paddle range has been mapped and that stopped the Vaus from jumping.

EDIT: It decided to jump again in the emulator… m(

Emulation has glitches that don't occur on the real hardware, get yourself a real Vic to test on.

Can't do that. Am homeless, so even if I fixed my VIC I couldn't carry it around. I'll try to get as much done as possible until some day next week and then this project will go on hold for a while.

Score counters went in but the ball tends to get glued to the background.

EDIT: That seems to be fixed. Phew!

Homeless  why? Are you living on the street or? Really sad to hear you telling that. Hope this isn't permanent and you are between homes Sven. Now I'm even more impressed with you achievement with your games and having the energy and enthusiasm to share with us fellow Denials.

Will do some beta testing this weekend, beating level 3 8)
Kind regards, Peter.

I actually am between sofas. Got overly frustrated the last few days and shouldn't have bothered you people with it. But now as I did: I halfway emigrated to the UK (got friends and family there) and that meant taking risks. Nothing to be sad about. It can be fun if you're in good shape. But some sofas seriously stink, if you catch my drift. :x A more comfy one showed up yesterday and it should last for a couple of weeks, so there's nothing to worry about. :)

I'm afraid it won't be much fun to try to get through the levels at the moment. The ball gets stuck if its angle is too vertical. :(

The paddle input translations haven't been done completely with a precalculated translation table, so, rotten code got in the way. It doesn't warp anymore. The ball got stuck because the radius of the cosine table was one off. That's also fixed. And the ball now has about the same initial speed as in the original (it'll become obvious how good your breakfast was ;)). And I hope that beamrider didn't get me wrong by any means. Please keep it going!

There's at least one thing that might spoil an attempt to play through the levels even with unlimited lives: no checking if a ball goes around on a repeated pace forever. Now for couple of POKEd rounds myself…

EDIT: The reflections from the Vaus are more of what one would expect. Applied a narrower distraction angle which will probably resolve the problem with the ball confusing the game with tennis.
EDIT: That worked. Level three can be passed.

Found the (simple) algorithm that keeps the ball from traveling in circles forever and which also keeps it from ping-ponging around for ages. The ball also gets faster if it hits the top boundary. The disruption mode (ball split) and ball catching mode have been fixed as well.

Got through all 32 levels (with POKEs, of course).

Enjoy! :)

Thanks for another piece of 8-bit art and fun! A little too fast for my old brain though :(

That'll pass. It'll make your brain younger again. You'll see. :)

Wish I had real paddles or a paddle emulation via analogue joystick. :(
