He's only got one pair of original paddles up for grabs. :( 3D printing comes to mind…

Mine are home made. Made by my brother as a birthday gift to me once. It's not very complicated to make. A pair of potentiometers, two boxes to put them in, a joystick connector, cables, and the time to solder it all together.

I tried the latest version now, and the only power-up coming is the one with the three balls. Where did the others go?

Had to degrade the game (temporarily) because I got urged to put it into the retro arcade tube. So, round 3 isn't there anymore (too difficult without the right ball trajectories) and the ball catching bonus (sure life loss) has been disabled.

A month ago I was told that nobody would use the (first) tube because with this kind of weather everybody would prefer to sit outside. I assumed that with my kind of luck we'd get a historical summer then.

Stop laughing there! ;)

Will send some luck in your direction - like the downgrade, level 3 was a pain in the butt to defeat...

May I suggest a small "Level Number" - then You don't have to count while agitated
Kind regards, Peter.

Here's Doh, in *.zipped MG format: doh.zip. As always, load ',8' - not ',8,1'.

@joshuadenmark: please remove the rejection of *.prg files as attachments, if possible. It serves no useful security measure here.

I'm impressed! Thanks!

EDIT: Added a README and source media to the repository. https://github.com/SvenMichaelKlose/arukanoido Guess I'll be kind of working again on it tonight. The README also contains a list of things missing. Would be lovely to make this a largely collaborative effort!

Back at Grandma's kitchen table tonight, where 99% of what's there has been written. It's running on the RAT (retro arcade tube) and it's rather playable with a joystick when the speed has been reduced to 70%. My favorite game tester played it half asleep for the first time and made it to round 18 in the second run. :D

I'll give beamrider's screen designer another whirl for the missing animated, floating thingies. Having to make the sounds and tunes myself is making me a little bit uneasy. :(

Keep up the good work. I'm struggling a bit with Popeye at the moment - there really is a lot more complexity to it than I thought..

Pre–shifted sprites went in but that gave us about 10% speed gain only. :( It's in the file "src/sprites-vic-3k.asm".

The game play didn*t change but the POKE file has been fixed.
