Craig Bruce's Othello II

I've always liked playing Othello, and the look'n'feel of Craig Bruce second version look good. Unfortunately, all the downloadable versions of this game won't work (do not respond to keypress or joystick at title screen).
I've found a reference to this problem in an older post, but no solution. Anyone willing to examine the program and fix it? TIA!

Works fine with VICE and the 8K expansion setting.

Not in the version I'm using (WinVICE-2.3-x86). What's yours? Didn't try it on the real VIC though.

I got VICE 2.4, self-compiled on Linux Mint.

mmm.. tried with older WinVICE versions, but they all show the same problem.

Tried it and it works with WinVICE 2.4 but not with 2.3 or older. So upgrade to 2.4 and problem solved.

I suspect this might have been why I hadn't added it to GB20. I shall try it out now...
