Just a bit of fun

Post by vicist »

ZAP! - a random 'watch-along' game based on "Splat" © MB Games for unexpanded Vic.

I used to love playing this game with my kids when they were young. You made little bugs out of coloured Play-Doh® to use as counters (2 each). Throw the die and move the counter round the board. You had to move the one that was behind the other, jumping over any occupied squares. If you landed on a splat square, you picked a card from the top of the pile which had a colour on it and , if any bugs were on the same colour square, you flattened them with the splatter that turned the bug into a splat motif. You then had to make a new bug and begin from the start again. The winner was the first player to get both his bugs home.

You'll find it near the bottom of the page.

Run it, sit back and place your bets.

Thank you for this! The game mechanics are not so easy to understand (at least fo me ), but I'll get along with it.

A quick rundown of what's happening:-

4 players - 2 counters each
player and number thrown is displayed
rearmost counter moved thrown number of squares jumping over any that are occupied
land on encircled square - zap indicator flashes - any counters on same coloured square gets 'zapped' back to start and square is then eliminated
finish turn on last square to get home or bounce back remaining turn
continue until player has both counters home (end)
