Thanks for all the kind words. I find winter is Vic season so the 14-15 Vic season is HERE!! I just thought I would put up a quick note to say I am still programming . I have 1 or 2 projects nearing completion, and I hope to have one before Christmas but I won't guarantee anything. For those that are curious or like torturing themselves with long meaningless narcissistic drivel I have added the vlog at the bottom the AJ & KJ catalogue page (http://www.rufnoiz.com/aj&kj.html). It starts in 2010 and chronicles my mis-adventures in programming. Stay warm my friends.

Tau Ceti looks to be a text adventure of some sort... not a port of Tau Ceti.

Oh my I was not aware of this game. I am sorry to disappoint, my Tau Ceti, as Kweepa noted, is a text adventure.

I would LOVE to program a 3d game of this type but honestly I'm pretty sure my programming skills are not up to it. Just reading some of the ideas Kweepa posted for his Doom port make me think that creating a game of this type, for me, while not impossible, is quite improbable.

Thank you for the answer Freshlamb. I see your games are not bad at all either, and I LOVE text adventures :).
Also, this may be the occasion for me to ask for a proper VIC port of Tau Ceti for the VIC, with the same engine of Doom

Roughly one year ago I stumbled over your blog and took the time to extract the title screen of ADEZ & The Keys of Dengar back for use in MINIGRAFIK/MINIPAINT. In doing so, I added a fade-in for the picture: title_42.zip.

Just load and run the file "BOOT.PRG" with at least a +8K RAM expansion.

Looks like a few aspects of my tool set gave you some headaches - but you found out anyway.

Greetings,

Michael

Is Freshlamb still active? Any new products? Store still open? If so, I'd buy a bunch of tapes for my adventure time

The website has been dead for ages. I did grab all the games a while back but didn’t get to adding them to GB20 yet

How did I miss these before? They look great! Fortunately the site is still up.

I'm trying to get Korque to work in VICE. No expansion, NTSC VIC configuration. After multiple loading screens it just stops with CPU JAM at $10C1. Anyone have better luck?

This means that one can still buy physical copies of his games? Anyone tried recently?

Cleaned with tapclean and got this result:

Code: Select all

Overall Result : FAIL

Header test : PASS [Sig: OK] [Ver: OK] [Siz: OK]

Recognition test : FAIL [580337 of 583728 bytes accounted for] [99%]

Checksum test : FAIL [17 of 32 checksummed files OK]

Read test : PASS [0 Errors]

Optimization test : PASS [32 of 32 files OK]
Seems to work ok though as far as I can tell.

I apologize, I have been a shadow for a while. I basically do this when I'm not too busy with other things. The pattern seems to be every other winter, but now that I've said that it will change. Hope to be back with more this winter.

Great! Welcome back to VIC life then, will eagerly wait for winter time :)
So, is it still possible to order physical copies of your games? I'd very much like to load them on the real thing some day.
