FE3 takes away the fun of having a single game on a cartridge.
Don't even have to get one of those, WinVICE works fine and fast as well - and it's free.

There is a certain charme about having a game or utility on a _dedicated_ cartridge. I pondered about transferring MINIPAINT into that form, it would most probably require 8K RAM in BLK1 and 8K ROM in BLK5 - and a little bit streamlining the whole code so it would fit into BLK5.e5frog wrote:FE3 takes away the fun of having a single game on a cartridge.
But then, there's a working *.d64 file which loads reasonably fast on my FE3, save for the included 2 second wait in the splash screen so it remains visible for that short time in VICE even when 'true drive emulation' is deactivated (and those extra 2 seconds don't hurt on real HW, either).
20-sided Dice would be better.e5frog wrote:I have some more language suggestions:
throw a 20-faces dice => THROW A 20-FACED DICE
(It's in there more than once)
You usually don't use space between the last word in a sentence and the sign (don't know the English word).
They're approaching ! => THEY'RE APPROACHING!
He dodged your hit!
Did he dodge or did he hit? You can dodge a punch, a swing but not a hit?
I just opened the .d64 in a hexeditor and looked through it, these were the ones I could find.
Looks great, I'm looking forward to playing it, what's the lowest working memory setting BTW - not that it matters, I have the Mega-Cart but it would be nice to know anyway.
"He dodged your hit" is different from "He dodged. You're hit".
The character after the space at the end of the sentence is the punctuation mark.

Following istruction here:

when I type "run", the screen goes blank and nothing more happens.
Someone can tell me what I'm missing?
Thanks

Re: TGA - The Great Adventure
You have added +24K RAM in Vice, correct?
Lie with passion and be forever damned...
Re: TGA - The Great Adventure
Wrong... I've run VICE "as is"... now, activating the 24k expansion, everything works fine, thanks!
BTW, TGA is a great game, I've played the original on C64 (both real C64 and emulated) and this is always a great game even for today standards!
