If I was just choosing one it would a toughy. The games I play the most today would be Shamus, Space Snake and Doodle Bug but there are maybe a dozen games that I still love to play. :)

EDIT: Okay, I'll be strict with myself and choose Space Snake - it's just a bugger that I can't get it working on the uIEC!

"Sword of Fargoal" and "Crush, Crumble and Chomp" by EPYX.

Awesome games.

There are other games that I've discovered only lately, that I would rank up with these. But these two are ones that I played back then AND continue to play nowadays.

If I am lucky enough to receive a mega-cart, my pick my change after time, but for me, "Bandits', blows me away.

What a great arcade shooter!

Omega Race. There is something about that game. It's timelessly enjoyable for me.
In the end it will be as if nothing ever happened.

SERPENTINE. It was the very first VIC-20 game that I bought.

Shamus is a game I can play over and over; the best game made for VIC 20 -- without a doubt -- because I said so. :P

It's funny to see that most of your best games are included on Mega-Cart :D

My best games ? Trout/Salmon Run of course...

<-- take a look to my avatar
Mega-Cart: the cartridge you plug in once and for all.
