More high-scores

Post by Boray »

I almost can't believe it, but I just got 301 points on Mole Attack! :shock:

(Btw, This game was called (and advertised as) "Mullvadsjakt" in Sweden. (= Mole Hunt)).

Feel free to add your high scores for any vic games in this thread.

Oh, I have a small notebook full, but of course can't provide screenshots to give any authenticy. If it gets very popular, maybe Jeff will open another subsection just for games or even highscores.

The review section wasn't very popular... Maybe I could combine them for a section about specific game titles... highscores, cheats, reviews, commentary, etc.
What would I call it?

I'm thinking something like this:

Commodore VIC-20 Forum
* General Topics
* Programming
* Hardware and Repairing
* Other Systems

Collecting
* General Collecting
* Buy, Sell and Trade
* Preservation and Transfer

Games
* General Gaming
* Reviews
* High Scores

Programs
* 20 line Game Contest
* Basic Programs
* ML and Other programs

so far only 15,220 on cosmic cruncher :x

this game really demands a good joystick.

i have to go through my box of joysticks, and find one that is sensitive enough, and no, this is not a freudian thing going on with me Anders :)

some interesting quirks can happen in this game i find, since the corridors are wide enough to allow your character to move a bit within them, and it can cause the enemies to do some unexpected changes in direction, allowing you to fool them away sometimes.

Hmm.. maybe we should compile a list of "Denial User" highscores, using those games with two or more entries and announcing a new game every month. I saw some Amstrad CPC site just opening a high score section, and we only have to determine how advanced reporting of scores we want.

So far you seem ahead of me on all the games we have in common..

ok... here's my idea... a game section for specific games... each week a new game is listed for discussion, high scores, reviews, etc. The only problem will be waiting for your game to come up...

What do you think: "Game of the Week"?

Good idea - it will also promote a few of the lesser known games, I hope. If I'm allowed to take the concept one step further, we could even have theme specials, like comparing gameplay and scores on different Pac Man versions (Pac-Man, Jelly Monsters, Cosmic Cruncher, Trashman, Snakeman, Pakacuda, various homebrewn etc). But just pick one game to start with - Boray kind of already has beta tested the idea with Omega Race. :)
