Primevil?

Post by R'zo »

Update:download- primeval.tap

Image

This was with my vic when I bought it. I have not seen it in any vic archives or disscusions or any evidence of it's existence other than the fact that I have it. It is primeval by aimsoft. It is a fun and simple survival game.

Has anyone else ever played it or heard of it.

Experience has taught me that these mistery games on tapes are just retitled hacks in 90% of cases, I'm afraid. It would be interesting to see a pair of screenshots, do you own real hardware and can your system load the game successfully?

Even if it's a hack I would be cautious to know what of.

Edit-curious not cautious... auto spell on my tablet.

The object of the game is simple.
Collect berries for points.
If the dinosaur like monster who moves up and down on the right side of the screen sees you, he charges you and you loose a life.
If you run into what I think are volcanoes you lose a life.
Collect all the berries and you complete a level.

I did find a bug in it. If you go all the way to the right of the screen, you can walk right through the monster.

I got a pile of undocumented Aim Software releases about two years ago (which I still need to transfer into GB20 at some point!), but this game was not among them, so I suspect it's another new title. If you can transfer it, that would be great :)

Here is a .wma audio capture of the tape. This is the best I can do at the moment. Let me know if for some reason you can't work with this and I'll try to capture it in anther format.

I converted the .wma to .wav and then used wav-prg to convert to .prg but the sound file is too inconsistent (the volume fades away) to be able to get anything from it. A better quality recording of the audio is needed.
