D-yellowing keys

Post by ken »

im working on my vic20 trying to get it all modded up but the keyboard is yellowed
seeing its nice and sunny out I decided to d-yellow the keys
I scrubbed the keyboard in hot soapy water in the sink, to remove all the dirt
then I carefully removed all the keys and put them in a gallon jar with 3% peroxide from the 99 cent store
I put the jar out side and shook the jar every hr or so to move the keys around
after about 6 hrs the keys looked way way better than before
now I need a new 10 gallon fish tank so I can do the case

That's a lower percentage than what others have used. Hey, but if it works...

Ah, I've never thought about a fish tank for submerging parts.

I have used 3% for YEARS along with a fishtank
100% no need to make it complicated
only reason I use 3% is because I was told I could not do it
