Tymac D-fuse
Tymac D-fuse
Anyone know anything about this game - I picked up this cart getting my hands on another VC 20 and haven't got it working yet but it seems like it is quite rare.

Re: Tymac D-fuse
Oh wow, someone's finally found another copy!
I think Ward (Shrake) got a copy in the 90s and dumped it, which is why it's in GB20. Never seen an original cartridge. Presume it's hard blue plastic like all the other Tymac releases?
As for it not booting... well, they were also prone to going wrong too often. As discovered with Word Bomber, put it in your Vic20, turn on the power, and if you get the standard start screen, try to hit Restore. If that yields nothing, you may need to run a dumping program on it to check if the Vic is getting any code in any memory area.

Cleaned the contacts with alcohol and qtips with a gentle scraping on the pins (hated to do it) and voila
Charming game - controls are not too fluid but a simple enough platformer in the syle of Donkey Kong.

Great, you got it working! And yes, having played it a bit in GB20, it's quite a tricky DK clone.
Now, the next question is, will you be selling it?
