My PUR-80 Entry is...

Features
- VIC 20 and c64 versions
- Any key to start
- Joystick up to jump, down to duck (port 2 on c64)
- Two jump lengths
- Two "waves" of obstacles (second wave starts at score of 255)

Might be jumping too soon?
He's dead Jim
VIC 20 wonderful chunkiness. Is our hero wearing a dress? OK, it's 2016, our main character can be female!
She's dead Jim
PS - Although I wrote it on the c64, I really like the VIC 20 version. The characters are bigger and it ran so fast I had to include a delay! It easily fits in the standard 3.5k of RAM and comfortably loads from tape. My first VIC 20 program!!

Why can't this thread just go into the General Topics section?
Re: Basic 10 line competition
If I put this in the wrong place, maybe the moderator can move it? Sorry, I couldn't determine a best place for it and thought this was as good as any!

Results are in
http://gkanold.wix.com/homeputerium#!results-2016/c1snz
5th place for the Vic 20 version of 10 RUN10:AN ENDLESS RUNNER! I'm pretty happy with that.
8th place for the c64 version
36th place for the PET version
Just got a new (to me) joystick, so I was trying to "beat" the game. Got my best score yet, but look at all those boulders it wanted me to jump!
This was my first VIC 20 program ever!

Congratulations! I wish I had seen this contest sooner. I would tried to enter.
Re: Basic 10 line competition
Jeff, it's really all your fault!
At the ECCC show a couple of years ago, I was there with my Commodore 64. You talked about how writing a tight "type in" style game that fits in an unexpanded VIC 20 was like writing good poetry. You also turned me on to the cool PET style keyboards VICs first came with.
I never owned a VIC 20, but after the show, I found myself trolling eBay until I found and bought a PET keyboard VIC 20. When writing this game, I did think about your comments on tight BASIC games.
So this contest seems right up your alley! You should enter next year. It would probably just knocked my entry down one place to make room for you!
