I take a tip of a teaspoon vanish in a cup with a few drops of boiling water and stir. Then a bit of this
http://www.amazon.de/dp/B00VD1OQGO and stir. Repeat adding creme h2o2 until cup full. Generously lather on, wrap in food wrap and put out to sun.
Works great on vic20s. I have wrecked two c64 breadbin this way. Both "bloomed".

I've been always reluctant to applying RetroBright to my own machines (like in coins, I think the "patina" are part of the history ) but your's looks so good I'm starting to change my mind... seriously!

Re: 1st sunny day this year
I tried my 3rd C64 this weekend. The last 2 I wrecked (I guess I simply left them too long and then the plastic "bloomed"). I left the top of the case out for only 45 mins with a thick lathering of H2O2 creme. I washed off and left for 45 mins more. The base I think was 1 hour for the 1st exposure and then 45 mins for the second. On the 2nd round I only applied to the edges where the browning was the worst and wrapped the other areas in a damp towel to protect against the light.
The C64 is not as impressive as the VIC20s, but certainly a lot better. Sadly no before/during/after shots to share.
