No offence taken, and I hope you understand there was no offence intended in omitting Pulse from the article - at the time of writing I had not heard of it, only becoming aware of it when I joined Denial and started reading up on releases.

Phew! Glad to hear that. :) Never mind. Really. All is fine. Thank you very much! As I said: I got an overdose of attention already.

I tried pulse with my 11 year old. We both found it simply too 'fast' for us, and not so much fun. How do we slow it down for beginners?

Switch all memory expansions off. That'll slow it down as there's no space left for precalculated sprite data then.

EDIT: If you tried the free version there's no way to slow it down I'm afraid. The tape release is faster.

Maybe I am mistaken. There's no pokes for 'beginner mode' ?

We're terribly off–topic. Am continuing this in the Pulse thread.

I'm so glad that I was just paranoid. In general I think it's a bad idea to act upon such stuff really. Feeling a lot better now. Case closed.

Fortunately he figured out that it was fake. Later I got off–putting responses or no reply from other magazines when I tried to contact them about the tape release. I didn't care really and went on with other things to bother about. One review even got removed from the Net. I also had to get Google to unblock my web site and other stuff about me – in Europe you can ask them to block results about you. It wasn't me so they reappeared. Would have loved to get one of those mails just to get an idea about who it was. I hope that asshole is done. Now I got this out of my system. Even if I'm far off from what really happened it had to be mentioned at some point that these things happened. No offense to Retro Gamer intended.
What? Sorry to hear this.

Anyway, there is no need for contacting the media if you have a product good enough. They will hear about it and talk/write anyway. That has happened to me a number of times.

I think the game is way too easy. I would have played it more if it was a bit more difficult.

So, it took some time, but I have put up the "DVD extras" for the VIC-20 article on the Retro Gamer forum, if you want to read more that did not make the cut...

http://www.retrogamer.net/forum/viewtop ... =1&t=52722

There is also a plug for Pulse...

Yes, got your e-mail, thanks.
It was being busy with another article and other projects that slowed down getting the extras up, not you.
