Hey, we pointed to the same places - at the same time :)

Mike wrote:Besides, the terminus "ROM" is console speak, and does apply to the VIC-20 only inthusfar ROM images of cartridges are involved. The majority of programs and games which are loaded routinely into the RAM of the computer are not ROMs!
Technically correct - however, I think you'll find that the term "ROM" has now (in general parlance) become a euphemism for anything loaded into an emulator. For instance, a search for "PlayStation" and "ROM" will yield plenty of hits, even though none of the Sony PlayStation consoles are capable of using "ROM" cartridges.

For now, you could do a lot worse than one of Eslapion's Behr Bonz multicarts. It costs about £40 shipped and has most of the games on the Mega-Cart that you would want to play.
I also ordered a MegaCart in 2013 and am still waiting for my turn in the queue.

Definitely order a Behr Bonz. I bought one last year and it's a great purchase.

I think 12/18 months ++ wait would drive me nutz for a MegaCart..... i do fancy a Behr Bonz... ( & a SD2iec thrown in the mix)

Anyone knows why the delivery time is so long on this Megacart?
Kind regards, Peter.

If I had to hazard a guess, Brian slowed down production because he needs the rest or his enthusiasm for the project has gone downhill (which is understandable after 7 years of hand-soldering carts on a non-profit basis).

I had this one on my watch list. Well done. You need a safer PSU really. Either a sav64 from skydivingirl or a premium PSU from Ray Carlson to protect your treasure
