Which digital audio booster sounds best on real machines?

Post by pixel »

The times where you need to turn up the volume into dangerous off-the-map ranges to enjoy digital audio on your VIC might well be over. Please grab the real thing, run http://hugbox.org/pixel/external/denial/boost.prg, cycle through the four boosters with the joystick's fire button and state your preference.

(VICE gives very differing results, depending on the chosen sampling rate.)

No need to grab a disassembler. Code will follow.

EDIT: +16K RAM are required!

EDIT: Booster 5 added.

ERR TOO MUCH COFFEE: Double sample length uploaded.
