Arfon Micro/VIC Expansion info

Hi,

I have stumbled on this very nice expansion!

It was hidden on a addict for over 20 years , im Lucky to find it .

It came with an older type VIC-20 with the 2 prong connection for power.
I havent got this power supply...but no problem i discovered.

When Connected to the expansion with the user port(and cartridge expansion that is powered 2 )) the Vic-20
is working just fine.

I have tried to connect my newer type Vic-20 but thats not working, only works if i connect it with its own power supply :?

Is this expansion built to only power the older type of Vic-20? Is there some difference between the older and newer type of Vic-20?I know its power usage is slightly different 8)

I havent got much info about this expansion, somebody ?

Regards

I have also just bought one. I will post pics when it arrives
This is a very rare find....The Arfon Micro/VIC Expansion in very good AND working condition.

I have tested this Expansion with an older type VIC-20 with the old 2 prong connection for the power supply.

I dont have the Power supply for this VIC-20 but its not needed, the power supply of the expansion powers it all throught the user port..

Attention !, this is only with the old type Vic-20.

With newer type VIC-20 (with the round dinn connector) you will need the seperate power supply for the VIC-20.

This Expansion is tested and works perfect, i have checked every slot with a 3kb ram expansion(NOT included), all working.

If you have a cartridge with a connection for power off/on , there a cable with a switch to support this.(3.5)

Also included is the cover (as seen in the picture).

The TV modulator is included and working very well, good picture.(with the old type VIC-20)

The Vic-20 is NOT included, i will offer it in another auction soon.

All in all this is a very rare Item and you will not find this easily, its also quite complete and most important,,,WORKING...

Good luck with bidding.

International bidders:

This will not be very cheap with shipping outside of europe, plz ask me for the shipping costs before you bid.

The shipping stated in this auction are for outside Europe(Worldwide)

Shipping for Europe vary from 25 to 35 euro, depending on Euro Region 1,2 or 3

Thank you !

@sjakie43

The in built PSU delivers +5v to the cartridge expansion and +9v to the user port ?? Did you try on a CR VIC20?

@zepmun

Seems "the beers are on you" tonight ?

I was just looking at the missing keys. It's quite amusing that so many keys are actually in the wrong place too.
