Well, not quite, but to many gamers, Satoru Iwata has come awfully close. The former HAL game programmer and designer of such memorable Vic-20 titles as Star Battle went on to succeed Hiroshi Yamauchi as the president of Nintendo several years ago. This makes the VIC-20's impact on the video game industry far greater than even we had realized!

Nifty!

Linus Torvalds (creator of Linux) got his start on a VIC-20, too.

Everyone has to start somewhere.

The vic-20 was a great little machine at the right time for these guys to start on their path.

It had simplicity, but also some great features. It was my first, and will always be my fave.
