What a mess.

I never thought I'd relive highschool at a VIC-20 forum...

........and not the fun part of it.

Too much he said, she said nonsense, and spiteful idiocy.

Everyone could use a time out.

Where are the new moderators?

This exchange is entirely opposed to the spirit of Denial.

It would be easier if I had more volunteers, but it looks like I'll have to draft some of you guys.

I put up some temporary moderators for the time being. We'll see how it works. I just selected some of the more active posters and matched them to forums. Selections were made not based on my personal taste but what I would think help the community return to peace and not upset other members. As always, I love you all. (hug) I know it's not perfect, but I didn't have a lot of time to work this out tonight. I'll make whatever fixes you suggest in the morning.

New mods: If you want to switch with someone, let me know. I put three per forum and each mod has power over two different forums. If you are a section moderator, you will notice four new (tiny) buttons at the bottom left of the page when you are in that section. Float your cursor over each to see what it does. You can set up a practice post in the off topic section if you want to experiment with them.

Please do your best to honor the spirit of Denial for the time being. We thank you in advance for your temporary service to Denial.

Thank you, Jeff. I hope the new moderators stop all the childish nonsense and bring peace to the forum.

That'll be me for the moment. I will assign volunteers when they arrive. Anyone interested in dealing with the "Wild Forest" of Off Topics? Prerequisites include a firm spine and lack of prior conflict with other members.

That would be the "Forbidden Forest" or "Beyond the Forbidden Forest" of Off Topics. ;)

I never had so many PMs in my life. I'll be making further adjustments in the next evening.

You have NO idea... I'm an @ on several IRC channels and own one on X on the Undernet network... I moderate on 3 different web forums... and when these silly little user tiffs break out, it's a pain in the ### to the moderator team.

We usually crack down pretty hard on the forums I moderate. You guys should be happy that Jeff runs the forum the way he does. I would've cracked a few skulls over private messages. If that didn't work then these silly tiffs would earn a few days of vacation.

At least you guys haven't turned it into the free-for-all that is neo-geo.com
Call me a cheap bastard... I learned to fix things to save money... even surface mount soldering...

Like I was telling others, Denial is my escape. I have a great deal of stress in my life outside of here. I tend to skip over messages relating to arguments and such. I don't even feel like being much of an enforcer if it disrupts with my relax mode. I hope none of you take my actions as being lazy.
