Re: Realms of Quest V FAQ/hints/walkthrough?
[As for being able to know which players have allies with them during combat by way of a marker or symbol next to the character name, that would be difficult to do because there is no screen real estate left to allow this. Possibly it could be done by recoloring one of the existing characters. Yes,...

Re: Realms of Quest V FAQ/hints/walkthrough?
Sorry to have to make you implement that that way. I understand the tight constraints. I think an "ally" icon might been more useful than some of the other icons present. Like the alignment icon. I don't think the player really needs to be constantly notified of the each character's alignm...

Re: Realms of Quest V FAQ/hints/walkthrough?
Great to hear this has been implemented. I probably will continue with the original version, though, as I am far invested into the game, and am playing from floppies, so would not want to lose my spot. Another UI feature that would have been nice would have been an indicator beside the party members...

Re: Realms of Quest V FAQ/hints/walkthrough?
I find I have to switch a lot between movement mode and the menu mode (i.e. to cast, inspect characters, etc.). Although, it's pretty easy to switch from movement mode to menu mode using the ESC key or SPACE keys, I haven't found an easy single keystroke that will allow me to switch back to movement...

Re: *SECOND PRINTING NOW AVAILABLE*: REALMS OF QUEST V (Digital version available July 1 2019)
Okay, so I have a dwarf fighter in my party. I bought him a broadsword at the market. The manual says fighters can use broadswords. However, the game does not allow me to equip this to him, even when I remove all his other weapons and armour to make room. There is no checkmark beside the broadsword ...

Re: *BOXED EDITION SOLD OUT*: REALMS OF QUEST V (Digital version available July 1 2019)
I am playing this game and it's fun, but have a question:
How do you un-equip something from a party member? I.e. if I have a party member equipped with weapons and armour, and I want him to take it off so it can be equipped on another party member, how is this done?

Re: *BOXED EDITION SOLD OUT*: REALMS OF QUEST V (Digital version available July 1 2019)
To those who have a WiModem installed in their VIC-20; remove it before playing this game. The WiModem, while plugged in, makes the VIC-20 react as if there are joystick presses, or button pushes. So when I tried to view the Realms of Quest introduction, the first screen of the intro flashed for a s...

Re: Mega-Cart
I am neither the hardware nor software designer, but I designed the packaging, cartridge label, instructions and keyboard overlay. I probably would not be an obstacle to someone re-using these graphic elements in any reproduction run (heck, someone here on Denial is using my VIC-20 disco-man artwork...

Re: Practicalc Spreadsheet
Hi Eslapion, I will scan the practicalc stuff it it can fit on a standard 8.5" x 12" scanner. I always wanted to learn more about spreadsheets for the VIC. I'll also scan the education books if you want. Again my scanner is only standard size. (wait: Orion70 a few messages up says he scann...

Re: Art nouveau graphics on the VIC
Nice to see this hi-res art, and you've exposed me some Art Nouveau that I wasn't aware of, which confirms in my mind that I just love this era of visual aesthetic.

Replacement for voltage regulators in 2-prong VIC
On the Vintage Computer Forum, someone is experimenting with replacing the 2-prong VIC volage regulator with something cooler and more modern:
