Thanks for the recent updates, new features always welcome. I have recently updated my TextPad "Syntax Highlight" / "Tool Execute" to support XAsm and have spent the last day or so using it instead of DASM. I must say I very impressed, it has some nice features - so much so that ...

WIP - Yet another Character Set Editor

This is my 2nd project for the VIC "CharEdit" - Current target VIC 8k+ RAM. You may wonder why do another one as there have been lots of these down the years. Well the reasons are twofold :- 1) Being quite a common utility that we have all used at one time or another, makes it an e...

Look forward to seeing this finished and released. I'm currently working on a character set editor also. Though with only a few weeks experience under my belt, mine will likely fall far short of yours. Still it's development is is helping me discover more about the VIC and Assembly language and that...

Ok, wait. I have typed it in again, and still it doesn't work. :( I checked for typos and still it doesn't work. What is going on? I typed mine in manually in the Vice monitor starting at location 824. How are you typing it in? Are you compiling it? Can you make a prg file of it so I can compare th...

That's a neat looking bit of kit, being a VIC novice I never knew something like that existed.

Good luck with the bidding :D

I just watched a Video of Shredz64, being a big Guitar Hero/Rock Band fan I was really impressed by the game.

I know we don't have SID, but the thought of Shredz20 makes me drool :D.

Anyone else?

There is a typo in your code "CPM" should read "CMP". After amening that your code works fine for me on VICE - and does indeed show a screen full of different coloured bars. :D START LDA #$26 STA $03FE ;RASTER LINE LDA #$0B STA $03FD ;SCREEN COLOR LDY #$10 LOOP LDA $03FE RASTER C...

One of my all time favourite 8 bit games is "Jammin" on the c64. Simple but original/addictive game play, some great funky tunes including "Seventeen" by the sex pistols :D. It always cracked me up when the baddies stole your instrument and ran about playing it out of tune. Would...

King Trode; I wonder what made your friend decide to get the Aquarius? Based on what I know, the Spectrum was really popular where you are. Was it the price? Flashy box art? What it included? It was such along time ago and hard to recall, pretty sure his decision was all of the above (though I don'...

Sure, I will swap you a Vic for one. We will need to post each way but that would be a fair swap. I assume it has a mouse, software, manual psu etc. Swap for a Vic20, tapedeck, psu, joystick, some cartridges and tapes. Acorn A7000 I don't have a spare keyboard or mouse for it, but it's compatible w...

Anyone interested in Acorn Archimedes A7000

I have two of these sat in my room, both working when I last used them about 6 months ago. These are available for free if you are willing to collect them in person, just looking for a good home for them as I need the space - but saying that if anyone interested had some VIC hardware to swap that wo...

WTB VIC-20 Computer (eBay Blues)

Hi All I'm looking to purchase my first real VIC-20 computer, also scanning eBay UK - though most of the time they are not working/tested of have missing PSU/Leads etc. I'm watching one ATM on eBay, but it does have RAM exp with it which I will not need (trying to save £££ towards FE3 cartridge). I ...
