Sorry to hear that it will be exclusive to members of another group if it could be useful to other members of the Denial community. I thought as you were posting about it here and asking for help here that it would be available to Denial members too, hence the invitation to enter it into the competi...

If anyone is looking for inspiration for an entry then how about the Vaporware and missing games in this list? https://www.commodore.ca/manuals/funet/cbm/vic20/Cartlist.html Wizard or Wor, Stargate, Flash Gordon.... or the Denial list here: http://sleepingelephant.com/ipw-web/bulletin/bb/viewtopic.p...

Re: An unusual demo that the Vic20 could also probably initiate
"Of course it is entirely possible to port the loader to the VIC-20. But what does it buy you?" I thought it would intrigue Vic20 only users (I rarely use a C64) who might want to explore this. Yes it is a 1541 or drive demo but if my post served to get a Vic20 only user interested then it...

Re: ** New Frontiers in VIC-Hires-Graphics, Part 16
Thanks Mike, I tested it and it works just fine if you set the file name for TheC64 or TheVic20. Ilopis, here is a tested working version of the full demo. flinale-pal_B1B2B3.zip That's great. Thank you! I'll try that today. What did you have to do to get them to work on TheVIC20? (other than the p...

Re: Loader
this looks great. and to put to an actual cassette, do i play the tap file out of my computer and into a tape recorder? I think there are several options but this is probably the most reliable https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133646857375?hash=item1f1df9349f:g:iCUAAOSwfXhcxE-8 I have Remzi's USB gadgets ...

Re: ** New Frontiers in VIC-Hires-Graphics, Part 16
Hi, Please find attached a couple of d64 images with those 2 images configured to load for TheVic20 and TheC64. If you put these on a USB stick then launch the browser each image will load and stay on screen till a key is pressed. I will look into a peculiarity I found - I could not load a second im...

Re: John H. Conway's Game of Life for the 3k expanded VIC
This was coded for the C64 but I thought it worthy to share here as the cellular automata and music link might be interesting to explore on the Vic20. The 256 byte source is in the post. https://hackaday.com/2021/05/19/linus-akessons-a-mind-is-born-commodore-64-demo-in-just-256-bytes/ I hope to see ...

An unusual demo that the Vic20 could also probably initiate
I put this in the programming thread because while it looks like it is initially a C64 demo, it is probably equally feasible on a Vic20 as it is executed by the disk drive which both could use. I am not usually a fan of demos but this one is really quite impressive and definitely worth watching the ...
