Thanks for those friendly responses!:) Now I really regret that I drilled a lot of holes in my Commodore computer casings before I came up with this idea. Mostly for buttons, switches and LED’s. Using the RESTORE-KEY as input and an RGB power LED as output leaves the work to be done at a minimum. Ho...

My allmost new VIC-20
Hello everyone,
After my first VIC-20 worked fine, this forum inspired me to make some modifications on my VIC-20, which eventually lead to making a new one!
I planned on creating an NTSC VIC-20 in near mint condition (as in “used but has almost no signs of wear

Welcome! Thanks for the welcome Jeff! Today I discovered Ghost, I have to say I’m amazed by its design and speed. On the real VIC it’s even more responsive, I can’t believe it’s just BASIC. I did make some progress with 6502 machine language though. That’s really cool, although I now see that basic...

Welcome! You sound like an electronics pro, cool. I'm only just starting to learn some things there. Hi Witzo, Although I studied electronics in the 80’s I never had the opportunity to use that knowledge in an occupation, so I forgot almost everything until I picked it up in 1996. All I know now is...

I photographed both aeb’s and Mike’s versions with several exposure times. Out of 24 pictures those 5 were best: Photo 4 matches the original most, except for the heavy flickering. Tested on: VIC-20 NTSC two prong ASSY NO. 324003 1981 COMMODORE INTL KU-14194HB FAB NO. 324002-01 REV. F Sony Trinitron...

Thanks for the welcome! Oh, and a happy new year! Have you gone to the bi-monthly Netherlands Commodore Show? No I haven’t.:( Not to complain, but for clarity I have to confess that my physical health doesn’t allow me to join such meetings. Also my replies may take a bit longer than normal. That’s n...

Hello - not quite new forum member from the Netherlands
Hello everyone,
I’d like to introduce myself and tell about my first contact with the VIC-20. I’m 46 years and living in the Netherlands. Collecting Commodore stuff from 1984 till now. In between were some inactive Commodore years from 1989 to 1996.

Is that the TAP version that's in GB20? If so, I'll try to make a TAP from my own tape then to replace it. Dodo Lair.tap from TOSEC and GB20 are exactly the same. It would be great if you make a tap of your own tape. Then I’ll give it a try, though it looks more complicated cause of those five files.

Good work :) If you can make PRG files from the TAPs of Dodo Lair and Jumpin Jack, that would be great for the OP too. I don't have PRG for either too, so I'd be including them in GB20 as well. Thanks, I’ve looked at the TAPs of Dodo Lair and Jumpin Jack (from TOSEC). Somehow WAV-PRG (3.6 and 4.0.1...

Hi Muzz73,
perhaps this is what you're looking for?
http://sleepingelephant.com/ipw-web/bul ... 8206#48206
It needs a minimum of 8k, but can use up to 24k.
There is not much more I know about it though.
