Re: German Magazine - Type-Ins - Compute Mit
Yes, I send my updates to Richard regularly. But, downloading a zip-file should usually not trigger a firewall. Unless you are in a business-enviorenment with very strict restrictions.

Re: VIC20 with NOS 6561 sound problem
I had a VIC-chip as well that was defective on bit 3 of the volume-register. This went in to the bin, luckily I had replacements back then. I agree that the defect is subtle and you only notice it with certain games/demos. But still it is a defect.

Re: NEW BASIC game for 16K VIC: Castle Quest
Nice, just played it. At one place it says "duengon" where it should say "dungeon" probably... At some point you get "silver coins". But "use silver" does not work. You have to "use coins". At the very last step you have to "get" the item o...

Re: How do I redefine characters with 8k or more RAM?
You are overwriting your BASIC-program with the chars you are reading. Essentially you are cutting down the tree you are sitting on. You need to protect your BASIC-memory from the character-definitions you are writing to memory. As mentioned earlier in this thread you need to increase the BASIC-star...

Re: Documenting the unreleased/cancelled/prototype video game "Ice Palace"
Update: Of course, Mike immediately called me and pointed me to this: https://sleepingelephant.com/ipw-web/bulletin/bb/viewtopic.php?t=10317&start=55&hilit=bin+loader Just replace "wax2.bin" with the extracted filename (after you copied it to a d64 together with Mike's loader) Mean...

Re: Documenting the unreleased/cancelled/prototype video game "Ice Palace"
Here is a snap shot for Vice vic20 ... which apparently was made in a decades old VICE - and doesn't work in a recent one. Making a .crt out of it would make a lot more sense :) Hmm, in the original post there is a link to a .bin-file that you can just attach as a generic image in WinVICE 3.2 and i...

Re: freezer software vic20
The closest possible is probably Mike's MINIMON-cartridge. It "hides" in the rarely used $9800-$9fff-area, has a reset-switch that can circumvent cartridge-reset-protection and even for cartridges that use $9800-$9fff it can be deactivated with an on-board-switch.

Re: In the making: Arukanoido – an Arkanoid clone
Jitter seems better now. On the hiscore table I could finally enter my initials. I still have to be super careful, but at least I am able to get each letter stable now.Ingame jitter seems a little better as well. On first start at the game I got the same error as last time again, the flickering rast...

Re: WTB: Cardco Cardboard 6
As I remember Jim made 100 of these, but noticed the dip-switches were to close to the cartridge slots, so you could not plug in a standard cartrdige fully. You can still buy this for $22 a piece and I got one some years ago: https://store.go4retro.com/non-functional-goodies/ See the notes at the bo...
