Re: CBM prg Studio
Never seen this before. Are other apps working properly? I had a quick google around and found this: Check to see if your Windows Display settings scale is set to the default of 100%. My scale is always set to 150% so I can read the display. At 100% its almost impossible for me to read it. I am als...

Re: SuperCPU for the Vic-20
After a s...load of debugging I have finally made a source that can load programs from the SD card. Using sourcecode from another project was not the smartest way to do this, so I ended up remaking alot of it. Anyway, here are some pictures: IMG_0487.jpg Initializing a 8GiB SDcard takes 2-3 seconds....

Re: "New" old stock MOS 6525A for 17USD
The B700 has been on hold for some time due to my SuperCPU expansion. Once I finish that, will start on the B700 restoration. It lacks a 6525, but I have most other ICs and components. I do have a full wafer of mos 6525(!), but that is for preservation. Due to the high fail rate of the 6525 I am thi...

Re: How many commercial games were made for the Vic-20?
Its certainly not complete and some bugs there are, but here is an updated Vic-20 software list with 850 titles: Vic20GamesList-20181028.zip I have tried to mark non-game programs as Utility or Educational. Obviously its missing a lot of entries as I have tested only a few. The list is composed of c...

Re: Got me a nice early revision Vic, black screen issues
10.4 volt sounds perfect. Now you can check that you have around 5 volts DC inside aswell. Look at the cassette interface (google it) and it should have a +5V pin and GND pin. You should see around 4.5-5.5 volt accross that. If not, the regulator could be broken. There are a number of things that co...

Re: SuperCPU for the Vic-20
With bug fixes it now shows all entries and up to two lines of filename (39 bytes). Directories and Volume information is shown with separate endings (dir) or (vol) and it lists the number of files and directories at the last entries. If you want to see part of the listing, simply press run stop or ...

Re: SuperCPU for the Vic-20
Had a hard time finding good specs about LFN coding in FAT32, but when looking at the raw data, the solution was obvious. So now it also decodes long filenames:
Just ignore the bytes in between as they are debug data.- Tue Oct 16, 2018 12:39 pm

Re: SuperCPU for the Vic-20
Why? I really like to know the exact size (for whatever reasons, lol) and I don't think there is any reason to shorten the size onscreen. As far as I remember filenames can be 14 character max, right? Then we have 14 chars filename, a comma and max 5 digits for file size - that would be 20 chars, f...

Re: SuperCPU for the Vic-20
Short update: After alot of debugging and correcting my own errors as well as bugs in the original code, I am now able to load and display the directory on the sd card. I still have a few problems to solve, but all the fundamentals seems to work. Edit: Spoiler: SuperVixen-dir.png Showing the 4 files...

Re: CBM prg Studio
I am using CBM prg studio a LOT and I really like its environment. Its essential to get things compiled quickly and tested on my Supervixen expansion that is being developed. I recently started using the internal debugger as well, and its a nice tool, but I miss one thing: finding the memory locatio...

Re: 6561 Die Shot Reversing Explorations
Bad news, it wasn’t a 6561 after all.
Its hard to find such old wafers. Most MOS wafers I locate are 4inch and newer. Price varies alot.

Re: 6561 Die Shot Reversing Explorations
Well, I have located a wafer of 6561, but its very expensive. I don’t know how much such a wafer should be worth either, so its basically not a sound investment..
Anyway, I’m trying to get more information from the seller as for revision, wafer size and so on..

Yes. We are reproducing.. and giving Commodores to the next generation.
Amazingly, all my kids like the Vic-20, then I gave the oldest one a C64, and its just sitting there after a few programming test sessions...
I got to buy more Vic-20ies..
