This looks really interesting. Nice work, I'm looking forward to the progress.

Re: Raspberry Pi 400 - Computer in a keyboard!

I've been running Lakka on RPi systems for a while and highly recommend it. IMO Lakka is more stable than RetroPie. I don't have a 400 but I've got several other RPi systems doing various things: Rpi 1 running Diet Pi and Pi Hole. Diet Pi is a lightweight Debian distro without GUI, perfect for a lim...

FujiNet on CBM (IEC)

It appears that work to make an IEC Commodore compatible FujiNet is underway. This could be the next "must have" C= peripheral. FujiNet on the Atari computers is pretty amazing. For those who don't know, FujiNet devices plug into the Atari computer SIO peripheral port. This one device prov...

Re: HEScard 20

^ Thanks, Mayhem.

I've also got a Cardco 3s. I'd be curious to hear Mike's expertise (or anyone else's) about possible damage from using that one and not the HEScard.

Any luck with this working in a SD2IEC?

Re: HEScard 20

Thanks for the explanation, Mike. I won't be using the HEScard with multiple carts anymore. It is still more convenient than trying to get carts in and out of the back of the VIC, though.

Are there any VIC peripherals with multiple cart bays that correctly switch the carts?

Re: HEScard 20

Interesting, thanks for the replies. Mike, just verifying — you're saying it's a bad idea to keep multiple carts in the HEScard because of possible damage? Is this theoretical or verified? A few hours ago I played around with the cart combinations a bit more and found the UltiMem and Penultimate Plu...

HEScard 20

I've had a HEScard 20 5 slot expander for several years but never had a manual for it. Does anyone have a PDF of the manual? When using the HEScard 20 with older carts, it works as expected with only the slots "turned on" being recognized by the VIC. I haven't had any luck with modern memo...

Re: UltiMem

I finally purchased an UltiMem this month. After flashing the "official image," I'm very impressed with how great this is. I wish I had purchased one years ago and definitely recommend it.

Running SD2IEC on a PC or RPi

The idea: an IEC to USB cable connects the VIC to a PC or RPi the PC / RPi is running an emulated SD2IEC the PC / RPi is running Samba the user can transfer / organize files remotely over the network to the PC / RPi, updating the emulated SD2IEC content Is something like this possible? I think it wo...

Re: RetroTink and the VIC-20

I've been using this relatively inexpensive "Tendak" converter for over 3 years with a VIC and S-video. So far I haven't had any problems. I haven't noticed any significant lag/latency. I also use this with an Atari 800XL, Sega Genesis/32x/CD, and PlayStation. S-video looks better but it d...

Re: Megacart is back

In my book, a username on a public forum where the person is registered as a member is not the same as a private e-mail address and if Brian doesn't want to engage with the forum anymore he doesn't have to. As far as I know, Brian has never received any abuse from this forum and pretty much gets th...

Re: Megacart is back

Honestly, you should NOT even have done that! NO ONE is "definitely" on a list for anything! It is what it is. Brian endured enough online abuse in the past. To anyone here..... PLEASE DO NOT give out Brian's info!! Just leave him to do his thing as he wants to instead of having him bomba...
