Re: ML routines library?
there are some resources: codebas64.org - c64 centric, but still lots of generic things there cc65 on github - the library sourcecode can be useful to look up small fundamental routines (multiply two numbers or sth like that) 6502.org - has a bunch of nice articles on fundamental things the fridge (...

Re: 6561 Die Shot Reversing Explorations
the period when the line is pulled low by the VIC is about 64µs (really 64 cycles perhaps?) and the sample period is about ~441µs (PAL) or ~443µs (NTSC) (512 cycles eh?) (obvious measurement errors included). (its really easy to see when you measure it with a scope :)) also, your circuit should neve...

Re: Binary -> CRT format
unfortunately noone created a proper linker configuration for cartridges yet... so what you need to is basically: - find out what the "header" for a vic20 cartridge is. this should be fairly easy (on the C64 there are two vectors, followed by "CBM80" - iirc this is very similar o...

Re: Binary -> CRT format
there is no format comparable with .crt for the vic20 (yet) - you'll have to use plain .bin files (raw binaries with no headers) as for making a vic20 cartridge from your code, you generally have two options: either reconfigure the cc65 linker to produce an actual cartridge image (designed to run fr...

Re: Mega65
i totally understand that it might become an interesting artefact in history. however, if you look at what people are already dreaming up regarding the mega65 - its really obvious those things most likely will not happen, and they will be disappointed.

Re: Mega65
yupIt may be an interesting piece of computer history, but I don't really get the excitement over the Mega65. There may be a handful of demos for it (like for the C64DTV and C128), but people shouldn't project all their hopes for fantastic software to it, they will be disappointed.
