I got my cart in the mail yesterday (awesome game BTW!) and the contacts ARE gold plated. So they obviously fixed that issue before shipping the game.pixel wrote:And it's not even gold plated! *dug* *snigger*

Re: cc65 and RS232 User Port Serial
I think the ideal solution would be to have a dedicated userport rs232 driver for use in cc65 for the VIC20. I came across one for the C64 that might be a great place to start:
https://github.com/nanoflite/c64-up2400-cc65
Thats a 2400 baud driver and looks very simple to use.

Re: Pinout for a ChalkBoard PowerPad cable?
On csdb I'm able to find the following:
- Bear Jam
- Leos Lectric Paintbrush
- Leos Links
- MicroMeastro
- PowerPad programming Kit
Do you have any additional titles? If so, they are not be be found from what I can see. I searched for every title listed on the back of the PowerPad box.

Re: Pinout for a ChalkBoard PowerPad cable?
I can try, I have no idea how well they'd come out, but I believe all of my software is complete, with overlay etc. That would be great! With the pics I could figure out where the exact locations are by trial and error and create substitute overlays. Is all the software you have in cartridge format...

Re: Pinout for a ChalkBoard PowerPad cable?
Not to my knowledge, I've only ever encountered C64 software (and I believe I own it all). I only have Leos Letric Paint Brush and MicroMiestro, both with the overlays. I've found a few other titles on csdb, but no overlays. Would you be willing to take photos of your overlays and share them? Would...

Re: Pinout for a ChalkBoard PowerPad cable?
To get the PowerPad itself working, I had to replace two foam rubber strips inside. These press the contacts along the pad edges against the matching contacts on two PCBs. I used 3/4" X 3/16" self adhesive high density foam weather stripping. This is probably a common problem with this de...

Re: VICMIDI release date?
Thanks for that Jim!
Question though, where do we find the files this refers to? Specifically the files prg.txt and filelist.txt and makecart command.

Re: User port Internet
Well if you create such a thing, I'll be sure to bring a VIC 20 into my office to keep myself up to date with an RSS! I have a Schema WiFi modem that I've used many times with my VIC. Also, a null modem cable to a PC with tcpser might also do the trick.

Re: User port Internet
I'd use it! I sometimes connect to BBSes using my VIC 20 and a term program I wrote in basic (unexpanded). Works well at 1200 baud. You can download it off Centronian BBS ( centronian.servebeer.com 6400 ). Would be nice to have some more term programs for VIC, especially a 32K one! I've been meaning...

Re: VICMIDI release date?
Any help on the building our own cart image please? Is this information provided in another place for the Ultimem? I'm sure owners of the Ultimem also would also like to build their own software collections.

Re: VICMIDI release date?
Hi, I was wondering if there has been any progress on creating instructions for putting together our own program compilations for the VIC MIDI? Its a great product, but its a shame that there seems to be very little support for it... I'd certainly use mine more if I could actually put the programs I...
