Re: Visible Solar System

Yeah, that's not really going to happen, especially now via the internet people can theoretically buy from anywhere in the world (especially using eBay). So it's more a generalised rarity, as in, how difficult would it be to find a copy somewhere on the planet. Sometimes rarity is about owned copie...

Re: Visible Solar System

I would suggest referencing the online guide at Digital Press for the Vic20, I took over from Ward and yes, quite a number of rarity and price values have been altered over the last decade. Jelly Monsters is an odd one. I believe it was released in Europe first in the UK, and Atari took out the inj...

Re: Visible Solar System

I don't remember any image or eBay auction of a version with the image printed on the box. So... the book will feature the box like the one in my first post. It will be the only exception among Jelly Monsters. By the way, Visible Solar System is one of the few games that was quite difficult to find ...

Visible Solar System

I think that the only version of the box for Visible Solar System that I've ever seen is this one: http://vgcollect.com/images/front-box-art/36595.jpg Does anybody have a different version of the box? E.g. with the illustration printed on the box and a standalone manual? (Like Sargon II Chess.... th...

Re: VIC 20 book on Kickstarter

About my English knowledge: all the texts of the book will be read and corrected by an English woman that lives here and tought English in high school for decades until she retired a few years ago.

My English is not perfect but rest assured that the book won't have any grammar error.

Re: VIC 20 book on Kickstarter

Got to say - the graphic design in this book is absolutely beatiful (love the cover). I've never backed a kickstarter before but will contribute to this one. Thanks, it's amazing what a cover can do ;-) Just one caveat: is the text finished yet? On a page of the book revealed on the kickstarter sit...

Re: VIC 20 book on Kickstarter

Hi all, thanks for backing!

I've just added a few stretch goals to the campaign, starting from a thicker paper for the book and some UV varnish on the cover, then a nice VIC bookmark, a sticker that I'm still working on, and a few posters.

As always, comments are welcome.

Thanks Mayhem, I will take your offer of proof reading the draft of the book. Sometimes when you read your own text it's easy to miss something obvious.

Re: VIC 20 book on Kickstarter

Just backed now, I was number 58. Hopefully fully pledged quickly this time. Maybe you need to think of 'stretch rewards' too? Thanks for backing! I have received a quote on Friday (I know... always at the last minute but hey - I'm Italian) but I am not satisfied with it and I have to discuss it wi...

Re: VIC 20 book on Kickstarter

Hi all, the backers of the first campaign should have received a message about the new campaign. If you want to take a look (and hopefully back the project!), here's the link to the new campaign . Any help is greatly appreciated, especially sharing the link on sites, forums and groups where English ...

Re: VIC 20 book on Kickstarter

I just saw the video - and laughed out loud :D . You are almost credible in the President's shoes (at least, you would have been if we were in the Eighties :P ). Will back your second try with the English version only, hands down. I have to confess that the first two phrases are taken from a Jony I...

Re: PAL silver label vic20

The machine arrived a few days ago, non working as declared by the seller (random characters at startup). All the big ICs are socketed so I could easily check them - none was bad. I asked a friend to help me and he spent a few hours on Saturday and all Sunday afternoon to check all the signals with ...

Re: VIC 20 book on Kickstarter

This is the pal silver label that you bought on eBay ? No, theese are pictures I took months ago. They're a first version US model (1001 motherboard) and an early two prong PAL model. The silver label VIC arrived a few days ago (the shipping got stuck for a couple of weeks for unknown reasons) - I ...

Re: VIC 20 book on Kickstarter

I have made a teaser video for the next Kickstarter campaign, starting on May 30.
Apple style, full of "amazing", "gorgeous", "remarkable" and "most advanced"...
I hope you like it, comments welcome :-)
