There was the VIC-Switch....pretty rare though!

Re: New generation of PLA - PLAnkton

I'm interested in one or two. Fortunately I haven't had any PLA failures in a long time, but it is good to have spare parts.

Please bring a few if you are able to make it to World of Commodore, I'm sure there would be interest. If not, I'll be in touch next week to get one shipped!

Re: VIC-20 Cartridge case manufacturing

Once the molds are in place, can the cases be made different colours? (Like the 64C cases). Transparent too?

Re: Wi-Fi Cartridge for the Commodore 64 (and VIC 20 too!)

Never mind! Turns out there are several terminal programs for the VIC that support 2400 baud! http://zimmers.net/anonftp/pub/cbm/vic20/utilities/8k/index.html Plus Term and Mighty Term both work fine. There's also VT-40 on the MegaCart, but it only does PETSCII, so none of the commands actually work...

Re: Best way to get online?

The combination of an EZ232 and Lantronix UDS-10 also works pretty well, though it's fairly complicated to set up.

In theory my Commodore Wi-Fi Modem should work fine on a VIC, I'll have to test it.

Re: Wi-Fi Cartridge for the Commodore 64 (and VIC 20 too!)

Update: Looks like I'll need to support 1200 baud after all, for Q-Link Reloaded on the C64...so this opens up possibilities of using it with a VIC as well! Will try it "soon" and report back.

That's cool! I wonder if it would work on the MicroView (tiny Arduino with built-in screen)

Wi-Fi Cartridge for the Commodore 64 (and VIC 20 too!)

Some of you may have read the thread on Lemon. I've put together a Wi-Fi Cartridge (User Port) for Commodore computers! http://i.imgur.com/epHy8B9l.jpg More pics: http://imgur.com/a/ZvwO6 Of course, it should work just fine on a VIC as well, in theory. It runs at 2400 baud though, and I can't make i...

Re: Vic-20 ethernet?

There are all kinds of these devices coming out lately (which is cool). Even Wi-Fi versions. I hooked one up to my C64, worked fine. For 9600 baud, on the C64 I thought you needed special hardware? Same limitation would exist on the VIC, I think. Here's some info: http://www.zimmers.net/anonftp/pub/...
