You can go above the 6502's memory limit by Bank switching but then your game needs to be written to cope with that. If you really want to go silly you can have a co-processor with the ROM and RAM. On some forums they have a section where threads that deny the rules can go. On the Ubuntu forums it is called recurring discussions. I does not help to call it a bitmapped display when people are trying to write programs for it, it will just confuse them especially if they are used to computers with real bitmapped displays. You can't poke into a place in the VIC's memory to draw a dot on the screen, you can on a bitmapped system ...
