Re: Art Of Destruction/unexpanded 3D [under construction]

Maybe if you used a 4x4 mode drawing would be quicker (and take less memory). Of course the resolution would be bad. I like the idea of a driving game, or skiing game. The world could be a height map, a byte could define both the leading and trailing edge of the polygon trail.

Problem is, women won't show up if you insist on calling them broads! ;)

Re: Backgammon

I really like the display. The little touches like the hinges and latches, and the 3d look, are great.

I like the idea you have for the keyboard, but it got me thinking, why break up the sides, there are 12 keys along the top two rows of the keyboard.

Re: Vicious Synthesizers

I like the sounds I can make with it, but it's a little unresponsive to actually use like a keyboard.

If the programs were split up could it they fit on a 3k expanded vic or a unexpanded one?

Also people used to have a button for their websites. Seems like that stuff has to be moved to signatures or something.

Re: Update done - please feel free to post

Names/Avatars on the right hand side is really weird to me. Also strange that it asked me to specify a reason for deleting my own post. I guess you don't have to give a reason, but what better than "because I wanted to delete it"?

Re: Cygnis - unexpanded text adventure

Seems there's more to do on the desert planet, but I really only needed to find and use one item. Also in the second adventure if you die from sickness, when you restart you are still "very sick" and die from the next move. Unless this was the bug you fixed, I only just now saw this version.

Re: Backgammon

I have a friend I have occasionally convinced into playing. But for the most part my experience is limited to computers. I actually got into the game because I had a copy for c64. http://www.gb64.com/game.php?id=549&d=18&h=0 Backgammon a good game because the games are so short. Experienced ...

Broken VIC, or broken carts?

I just purchased two games, Omega Race and Star Trek:SOS, both of them have the same glitch, where only the top half of the screen is filled with graphics, and the chars seem to be only the partial chars, or maybe it's that every other line is missing, because some of the text is readable. In the St...

Re: TRS-80 Demo

I own some computers just to turn on and stare at for a moment. My Trs-80 is one of them. Wish I could get some software for it, but I'm more concerned with obtaining something to get files to my commodore stuff. At least I have a Daggoroth cart for my CoCo.

Re: Say Yoho!

Any other mainframe game memories? Many of my favorite games (genres) have their roots there like Rogue, Telengard, and Super Star Trek. Also more along the lines of text adventure design: You seem to prefer using "I," while other games, like Zork, used "You." Was this a consciou...

Re: Say Yoho!

Hello Scott! I played the death out of the Count and Mission Impossible, way back in the day. It was the only two games I had for the VIC.

You mention you mainframe time. I'm guessing you played Colossal Cave Adventure?

Re: Bertie The Ball (16k)

Well I beat it with save states. At best I can get the key/lamp without save states. But I've got a plan for next time, if you've got the key and some life you can bash your way through the dark room to get the magic by the pit, saves you the grief of going from the start->key->lamp without any rech...
