Ral-Clan seems to be a purist and he used exactly the same thing as on real VIC carts down in every detail. not sure i understand the need for 'Vic guy' on the cart label, as none of the originals had this. i think he looks classy as hell on the cover, but it makes the cart look different from the ...

yes, that box design is gorgeous (as well as quite funny/cool). and done on an Amiga?! nice!

the cart label itself must be fantastic too, looking forward to this!

is it maybe possible to sell with or without the box, for people that don't 'need' it? (doesn't matter to me either way...)

Golan - you happen to look quite similar to my friend Jeremy here in Rochester. damn, pizza with (i'm guessing) yellow banana peppers?! that's my favorite. :( then again, the worst pizza i've ever eaten in my life (or at least started to eat :) ) was at the Toronto airport. i really couldn't believe...

i don't know the details off-hand, but check the pin-outs. i remember some guys being very vocal about the fact that MS/Genesis controllers are wired differently. something about sending +5v where it shouldn't? i've used them as well, and have had no problems for the most part. after reading more in...

Jeff - i believe Sega MS/Genesis controllers are also 'unsafe' for Commodore use unless modified.

The big bummer for the flashcart is the 32mbit TSOP chip. Its almost impossible to solder without a good microscope, special hot air soldering apparatus and solder paste dispenser. got a pic? i'm guessing it's a good sized quad? 100 pin or more? EDIT: you mean something like this? http://yimendj.go...

this Vic is gorgeous, though it's unfortunate that you used the damaged case for it. a C64 top case or another Vic case would've been easy to come by and would've given a much better result. if i'd known this was your intention i could have donated a top case for you. beautiful job though, i hope my...

i currently assemble and repair circuit boards/assemblies for a major government communications contractor here in Rochester (ie - i solder boards all day long for a living). not sure how long i'll be there though, they don't seem to place much value on employee worth. :) i plan to study EE and comp...

for sure, the differences between his original listing asking prices (which go unsold again and again) and the eventual selling prices are pretty astounding. every once in a while he'll score, but overall his ebay career is something i find quite entertaining. he must think that due to the season it...
