The spaceships really do look like Easter eggs! I remember playing this with a friend and how he acclaimed that he now owned one Christmas game and one "Easter game". Life was complete... I wonder if the Easter egg similarities were intentional. At least here in Sweden, a traditional game ...

Then, of course, there are the related Pengo genre, which is also discussed here on the forum. Perhaps some of the Vic Pengo clones are actually more like Sokoban-with-monsters? I haven't tried them all. (In Pengo blocks slide along until a stop when pushed and blocks can be destroyed both by the pl...

There is actually a kind of a Sokoban-game-with-monsters game for Vic. The swedish developed Nisse. Well, it's actually an action game which requires very little Sokoban type of thinking. This is mainly due to the level design as the game elements are all in place. You play one of Father Christmas h...

Bongo is a terrific game! Whole screen, with big & bold character graphics (but not that skillfully drawn). The game play really shines. A nerve thrilling catch and chase game with good AI of the hunting wolves. The classic snakes & ladder board adapted to an action game. There is a thread b...

I guess Halloween is over... However, besides several text adventures there is a Commodore tape game, Spectre, for 16k expanded Vic. As I remember, it was pretty rubbish, though, and probably written in Basic. I have a swedish review in front of me. They write about ghosts, apemen, and werewolves in...

sokoban for vic 20?

Are there any Sokoban type games for Vic 20? A pure Sokoban clone is, of course, well within it's capacity. A Sokoban with monsters, like Eggerland/Aventures of Lolo, Chip's Challenge, would be WAY cool and very possible, I think. Just look at Rockman as an example from a related genre.

About C64 Pengo. There is an official conversion but it is slow and therefore sucks. What a shame... A lot of those early arcade-C64 conversions were far from perfect. I sometimes wish that the developers of the late eighties would have attempted to replicate the old arcade games instead of Out Run ...

There was Chocabloc by Paramount. I remember it as an okay pengo clone but still rather poor. By the way, there aren't any good pengo clones for C64 either. Just imagine what could have been - a Vic Pengo of the same quality as Jelly Monsters!
